In the autumn semester of 2025, the Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering has the pleasure of hosting Giulia Percolla, a PhD student from Italy, who will join as a visiting researcher. Her doctoral project, “Geospatial Surveying and Modeling of Historical Buildings,” explores the intersection of engineering, heritage preservation, and advanced digital technologies.
The collaboration builds on the department’s earlier academic ties with the University of Reggio Calabria, where faculty members have already laid the groundwork for joint research and education. During previous visits, the department’s teachers, Dr. László Szücs and Barna Mihók, delivered special lectures for local students, fostering academic exchange and strengthening professional relationships.
Giulia’s stay marks an exciting new chapter in this cooperation, promising valuable insights into the study of historical architecture while offering new opportunities for international collaboration.
