Our faculty members and former students have been selected as finalists in one of the world's biggest architecture competitions with their designed buildings. This year's field of the 13th Architizer A+Awards included 628 outstanding projects and offices, including the work of hungarian designers.
Marcel Ferencz and his NAPUR Architect were among the world's top 5 in two categories. The National Athletics Center was shortlisted in the ‘Stadium and Arena’, as well as in the ‘Sustainable Sports and Recreation Building’ category.
While Anett Mizsei, Levente Gyulai and Zoltán Reznicsek, representing RMG.atelier, in collaboration with the bim.GROUP team as general designers, received special mention in the category of ‘Educational Interiors‘ for the design of the Jedlik Ányos High School.
The motto of this year's competition is ‘global challenges with local needs’, and buildings that are aesthetically unique with social, environmental or professional value were awarded.
It was no easy task for the jury of international experts, who had to select the five finalists in 126 categories. Above all, it was important that the architecture should both respond to global challenges such as climate change and urbanisation, and be sensitive to the specificities of local communities, cultures and environmental challenges.
Congratulations to all the winners!
