Dr. Erika Soltész Janurikné PhD, Director of Institute in Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering, was able to participate in the ‘Mindfulness - Breathing technique that is changing the 21st Century Classroom’ training in a building constructed during the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in a beautiful natural setting near the medieval old town of Dubrovnik, from 14-18 July 2025.
The Erasmus+ KA1 course aims to develop mental health and well-being, which is a fundamental element of a happy and healthy life and should be pursued in the classroom environment.
During the training, an experienced trainer with a degree in psychology presented exercises on how to cope with everyday stress in general and in teaching. The declared aim of the training is to learn techniques for stress relief, to strengthen a positive attitude, and to raise awareness of inner resources.
Part of the classes were held in a natural environment in the open air, sailing over to Lokrum Island, where they learned basic mindfulness exercises.
Another advantage of the Erasmus training was that they had the opportunity to exchange a wide range of experiences with colleagues from different parts of Europe, and the connection was maintained in the group of participants created by the organisers.
