Marcell Nánási, Assistant Professor, and Viktória Sugár, Associate Professor, represented the Department of Simulation Design at the IEEE 24th World Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI 2026), which was held in Stará Lesná, Slovakia, between 29-31 January 2026.

The presentation focused on the establishment of a reliable modelling basis for urban climate simulations as part of the GreenQual project, with a special focus on data requirements, impacts of modelling decisions and methodological challenges. The research demonstrates that the accuracy of urban climate models depends to a large extent on the quality of the input data and the consistently constructed simulation methodology.
