IDLE_ Zsombor Rácz's first solo photography exhibition
Zsombor Rácz's first solo photography exhibition has opened at the Y+ lab at the Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering on 15 December by Dr. habil. Csaba Rohoska DLA and Prof. Dr. Györgyi Csontos DLA.
The photographs follow the research and documentation carried out over the last two years in the framework of the I'5: Industrial Heritage Workshop and will be presented in the Y+ lab.
The series seeks and explores the beauty of industrial buildings and their surroundings. The images do not merely show architectural structures, but the interaction of spaces and the stories they contain, moments of abandonment and presence.
With images freely suspended in the laboratory space, the exhibition evokes in the viewer the developing technology of traditional analogue photography, while also bringing the images as objects into focus. The multiplicity, density and displacements of the images printed on aluminized plates bring the laboratory space to life.
The exhibition was founded by the MMA (Hungarian Academy of Arts).
