We are very proud to announce that two students of Óbuda University Ybl Faculty, Martin Kolman and Marcell Nánási, successfully presented their research results at the 19th International Symposium on Applied Computational Intelligence and Informatics (SACI2025).
Their presentation presented their work on the Greenqual research project, which investigates the assessment and mitigation of urban heat islands (UHI). Their research employs a complex approach that combines observational techniques, numerical modeling, and satellite measurements, enabling a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of urban heat island phenomena.
The presentation emphasized the importance of integrating different methods for an accurate assessment, while the paper highlighted the significance of interdisciplinary approaches and technological advancements in the effective management of urban heat islands and the promotion of sustainable urban development.
Congratulations to Martin and Marcell for their high-quality scientific presentation and exemplary performance at the international conference!
GreenQual: Investigating the Role of Greenery to Improve Climate Resilience, Water, Soil and Air quality in Dense Urban Fabric project is co-funded by the European Interest Group (EIG) Concert-Japan and the Hungarian NRDI program under the Nr. 2024-1.2.2-ERA_NET-2024-00006.
