GreenQual at the 3rd Ybl Conference on the Built Environment

We are pleased to announce that two students of Obuda University Ybl Faculty, Marcell Nánási and Martin Kolman, successfully represented our institution at the 3rd Ybl Conference on the Built Environment, where they presented their results achieved in the framework of the international research project Greenqual.

In his conference presentation, Marcell Nánási explored the urban applicability of passive ventilation systems in the context of urban spaces in Budapest. He showed how solutions based on natural air movement and temperature differences can be used to mitigate the urban heat island effect (UHI). The aim of this research is to lay the groundwork for the application of passive ventilation in urban public spaces and prepare the groundwork for future simulations based on field data.

Martin Kolman's poster also presented work from the Greenqual project, which uses field measurements to investigate the microclimatic characteristics of urban environments. The poster illustrated the measurement methods, the primary results of the research and their relation to sustainable urban development goals.

Congratulations to our students for their dedicated work and for contributing to the advancement of urban climate adaptation and environmentally friendly architectural solutions!
